Birungi holds sensory-based workshops designed especially for Black women, disabled individuals, and marginalized communities seeking wholeness beyond words. In these collective spaces, color, fabric, and music hold you where words fall short, guiding you back into your body and imagination.
- 1. Mindfulness Through the Senses – a six-part program using African textiles, food, aroma, and music to reconnect with the body and imagination.
- 2. Past, Present & Future Self – an eight-part program blending reflective writing and self-portraiture, co-designed with a therapist.
- 3. Protecting Play – workshops using Ugandan shields as symbols of resilience to explore personal wellbeing and creative rest.
- 4, Embroidery Doodle – freeform art-making that nurtures trust, rest, and creativity.
