Embroidery Doodling - 6 July 2025
Perfect is Exhausting. Let’s be unserious.
Break free from the tyranny of “getting it right.”
Perfectionism is a cage. Let’s stitch your way out.
In this workshop, we use African embroidery traditions and radical imperfection to:
Rewire your brain: Tactile creativity reduces anxiety and boosts adaptability (Kaimal, 2016)
Reclaim “failure”: Every “mistake” is a step toward liberation.
Create without rules: Doodle, stitch, and weave your way back to joy.
Why this works for Black women:
We’re often told we have to be twice as good. Here, you’re free to be human.
“I laughed, cried, and finally let go of needing to be perfect. This was therapy.” — Amara,
📅 Stitch your rebellion into being on 6 July 2025.
